An alumnus of the Auckland Girls' Choir herself, her passion for singing and choral music began then. Melissa is an all-rounded musician who enjoys composing, conducting, performing, and, most importantly, educating. Melissa enjoys working with choirs because she believes that singing can help develop fundamental skills for youth, and it can be transferable throughout your whole life. Melissa completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Waikato for classical piano performance, a Graduate Diploma in Music for voice at the University of Auckland, and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in music pedagogy and education.
