After the highs of the previous night, the girls were up early again today so that they could get maximum time at Disneyland.
The weather gods were kinder today and the temperature was a more tolerable 24 degrees. After a morning of fun, we assembled at 12 noon to be shown the green room to prepare for our concert. The mood changed as the girls turned their minds to the concert performance and started preparing for it.
Then it was show time! Marching up in a single file, the girls were focused and preparing mentally for the concert ahead. Bear in mind that this was a truly professional gig. They had a full stage with proper lighting, backdrops, monitors, a full blown professional sound system and an external sound booth to control the lighting and sound.
The girls started with "Do You Know the Way to San Jose" and, as Sally put it, they blew it out of the park. As they did the rest of the songs.
You've seen the videos and posts on WhatsApp so I won't go over it again here.
If I was Steve Hansen (All Blacks coach) I would be scratching my nose and saying that the girls are peaking very nicely, thank you.
I was so proud of the girls and their performance. They are a real credit to NZ, Auckland, and, most of all, to YOU, their parents. They really did a great job and nailed it.
So now, we're on to the next leg of our journey.
This is the serious end of the schedule so we'll need the girls to be at their best.
And that starts first thing tomorrow morning.
